Buyers of items prepay in UK £ Pounds,Euro or US $Dollars with either cash sent recorded delivery or a UK bank check,international bank transfer (no Postal orders, Credit Cards or escrow agents). Many of my clients use an independent third party service -, Nochex, Paypal using a credit card or debit card online, to visit there websites click the links - www.nochex.co.uk or www.paypal.com.

After PocketWatcher notifies you of the total amount due, payment is expected within 7 business days. Shipment will normally be made within 3 business days of receipt of payment.

Carriers/shipping charges and Insurance will be added to your invoice price and you will be notified of the total price payable via email prior to shipping and subject to a valid e-mail address having been given to us before hand.

IMPORTANT

Pocketwatcher will ship to any destination!

PocketWatcher uses Royal Mail Special Delivery, UPS, FedEx and other insured recorded services so that shipments must be signed for at the destination address. Any loss or damage whatsoever due to variation of this normal delivery procedure, such as customers authorising the carrier to leave the package on a doorstep e.t.c will NOT be covered by insurance and is at the customers own risk entirely. No refunds will be made for loss or damage.

Pocketwatcher will never consider using a non-insured carrier service.

Any transit damage to packaging or goods must be notified to and recorded with the carrier on acceptance and to us immediatley any damage to packaging is discovered.

All Pieces are inspected and tested prior to shipping and every piece is fully documented and photographed prior to packaging.

All our mechanical pieces are guaranteed to be in fully working order when we ship them unless otherwise described. Any known flaws will have been detailed in the item description and pictures included. If you would like further information or more detailed images on a piece then please contact us.

Watches

All Watches are described as accurate as possible i.e: "Good Condition" and "Good Timekeeping" means as good as can be expected with respect to age of the pieces sold. Remember, these peices were largely hand made for an estimated 'Life' of some 30 years. That they are here at all is remarkable, that they still work incredibely well. If you want truly accurate watch in mint condition, never used or worn within 2-3 seconds a day, go to Argos and buy Quartz.
A good quality lever movement may be tuned to within 5-15 minutes a day, a cylinder to within 5-30 and a verge around 15 - 50. Many of these pieces are of museum quality.

Please understand that PocketWatcher cannot make a lasting guarantee on these antique mechanical devices, they can last for many years to come with careful handling, or they can breakdown in a week or so, we just can't predict. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of the piece you are considering or are new to the field of collecting watches then please contact us for further information and advice. We would rather you did not buy than choose a piece wholly unsuitable for you requirements. All our pieces are thoroughly documented before shipping.

Any attempts to access non-serviceable areas of pieces such as movements, interior lenses and under dial areas by prising open bezels and covers is entirely at the customer's own risk.

If you require watches can be serviced by a master watch maker and a charge added to the final invoice.

We pride ourselves on having a representative selection of pieces from across the ages, and this includes those that were 'destined to fail' due to intrinsic design faults. If you would like further information on any piece before commiting yourself please do contact us. We would rather you did not buy than purchase a piece wholly unsuitable for your requirements. Many of these pieces are to museum quality.

Any Tax, Duty, VAT or other charge levied by the destination Country is the responsiblity of the customer and not us. Likewise we cannot be held responisble for any delay with Customs clearances in the destination country.

Any goods impounded by any Customs Authority or other official of the destination country due to any failure of the customer to pay all required taxes and import charges or failure to collect in good time the said shipment package from Royal Mail or any other carrier depot is not our responsibility and is not covered by insurance.

RESERVING ITEMS

Goods can be reserved or placed on 'hold' for a maximum 48hr's only, if we have not recieved payment within 48hr's the item will be relisted.
