| This
one is a beauty! This is a time only piece, with the movement and measuring 45mm,
it is a 19 Jewels and is in good running order, though we make no claims in it's
accuracy. The case is 18K and is beautifully tooled. The Dial is porcelain and
does display one hairline at one o'clock. The Inside dust plate is signed as followed: Made
For Palmer Bachelders & Co, Boston... Patek Philippe & Co, Geneva.. No.
33827. If you are not familiar with these, you will find
most of these were signed in a similar fashion, the double and triple signed pieces
came at a later time due to import and export regulations. We Do have the provenance
on this piece which adds a little something to this item especially for the collector.

Above the Patek signing on the dust place in a very fine scroll are written the
words Chas. J. Joesselyn from Louise.
Palmer Bachelders were Jewlers in Boston in the 1870's, they were located on State
Street. Louise was Charles Josselyn's wife. Chas was born May 23, 1847 in Boston,
he was an author and was also in the mercantile business. This watch was given
to him by his wife the year before they moved to San Fransico, CA (1870), he continued
in the same line of business on the West Coast, he also wrote the book "My
Favourite Book Shelf " and a few others and then in 1902 he released his
book " The True Napoleon " which become a best seller.
